Administrative Staff:
Cheryl Jones - Executive Director: Cheryl Jones
has been employed at Bootheel Counseling Services
since November 1984. She received a Bachelor's
Degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1978
and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from
Southeast Missouri State University in 2007. Cheryl is a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She became the
Executive Director of Bootheel Counseling Services in
2006. Prior to the Executive Director position, Cheryl
served in many different roles: PSR Coordinator, Crisis
Therapist, Community Support Supervisor and Director
of Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. She
is a Board Member of the Sikeston Area Chamber of
Commerce and Vice Chair to the Missouri Coalition of
Community Mental Health Centers. Cheryl is also a
member of the Sikeston Rotary Club, National
Association of Social Workers (NASW) and National
Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
Karen Evans - Fiscal Director: Karen Evans has
been employed with Bootheel Counseling Services since
July 2006. Karen received a Bachelor's Degree in
Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State
University. She is a member of the Sikeston Young
Professionals, Sikeston Habitat for Humanity and is the
Chairperson of Fiscal Officers for the Missouri Coalition
of Community Mental Health Centers.
Taryn LeGrand-Lovett - Clinical Director: Taryn
Lovett has been employed with Bootheel Counseling
Services since September 1989 after receiving a Master
of Arts Degree in Psychological Counseling from
Southeast Missouri State University. Taryn began her
employment as a clinical therapist and in 1994
transitioned into her current role as Clinical Director for
the agency's counseling services, crisis intervention
services an the children and youth intensive targeted
case management program. She serves as a member of
the Interdisciplinary Team for the Missouri Bootheel
Regional Consortium, Missouri Reentry Process for the
Scott/New Madrid Counties Probation and Parole and
the Continuous Quality Improvement Council for the 33rd
Circuit Family Support and Children's Division.
Kathy Teachout - Human Resource Director: Kathy
Teachout has been employed with Bootheel Counseling
Services since August 2008. Kathy received a
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from
Southeast Missouri State University. She is a Board
Member for the University of Missouri Parent Association
and a member of the Sikeston Area Higher Education
Center Advisory Council.
David Terrell - Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Program Director: David Terrell began his employment
with Bootheel Counseling Services in 1992. David
received a BSW from Southeast Missouri State University
and a MSW from Saint Louis University. David's first
position was as a Community Support Worker. In
January 2000, David became a Community Psychiatric
Rehabilitation Program Supervisor and in October 2006,
he transitioned into his current role as Director of
Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services. He is a
member of the Sikeston Public Safety Advisory Board,
Miner Baptist Church and the Mission Missouri Board.
David is a past member of the Governor's Council on
Disability.
